Today the flower opens. The petals begin to unfold as the honeybee approaches to drink the sweet nectar. One drop of dew, still upon the petal, sparkles as it catches the light. And still the rose unfolds herself to the sun.
This is the moment of the quickening, the moment of the blossoming, when the bright promise of what will be is contained within what is, but softly, as a tender invitation.
And it is at this moment of the day, the week, the month or year, the relationship, the enterprise, the lifetime, at this moment while the dew still glistens but yet the unfolding to wonder and beauty has begun, it is at this moment that you must pause and savor, take a deep breath and appreciate all that is. Right now, at this precious and fleeting moment.
At this moment in your romance, you savor each kiss and look forward to your next meeting with glorious anticipation. At this moment in your marriage, you stay up all night talking. At this moment, you walk into your new home for the very first time and see it fill up with dreams. At this moment, your child's face lights up in love and joy as you approach. At this moment, you begin to realize you may actually have a business after all.
Breathe in the essence of this moment, while the dream is just unfolding and beginning to blossom forth. Do not let it pass unnoticed.
