This is an important holiday week, beginning with the Solstice on Sunday and going into Hanukah, Christmas and Kwanza. No matter how you celebrate your holidays, it is a time to remember that this is the season where we celebrate the birth of Christ Consciousness, our reminder of a path that was created for humanity long ago and that we have been trying to connect to ever since. This is a time to celebrate the joy of connection, compassion and the blessings of giving and receiving.
While the focus of this season is on material gifts, there are many ways for us to show our love and compassion for others. And if you have no one to buy gifts for, give yourself a gift of love, compassion, acceptance or set an intention to be more gentle, loving and kind to yourself in the next year. In the rush to meet the demands of the season we forget that we too have to learn to give and receive, to ourselves. When we give too much of our time and energy to others there is often little left for us. We can change that by committing to learning to give to ourselves with the same care and attention that we give to others.
This season is also a welcome sign that 2008 is nearly over and it has been a challenging year. So much clearing and healing was accomplished, many energy shifts were present and the new vortexes and portals that opened kept many of us in an energetic whirlwind. For those who have been doing their healing and clearing work this next ten days is a time for closure, to sweep out the old energies and to prepare for the new. For others, this is a time for preparation as their healing and clearing work is beginning.
As you go through this week, whether you are rushing to finish your last minute shopping, welcoming family and guests or taking some much needed time off, remember to give yourself some gifts-acknowledge yourself for a job well done, compassion for the journey you are completing and the gifts of joy and gratitude, for what you now know and how far you have come. And thank you for being part of my journey, for the wonderful gifts I receive from each of you, for the support and love that you express in your messages to me and for allowing me to be part of your journey. I wish you the happiest of holidays.
