I have just come across this site and thought I might find someone who understands and can help me. As a child I sensed spirit around me, sometimes i'd see dark grey silhouettes and hear footsteps on the stairs. I accepted this because everyone thought our house was haunted and I was told that children are more sensitive to spirits and they were harmless.
In my early 20's at university I started having really vivid dreams. They always made me feel unsettled and then over the next couple of days I would find out that the events in my dreams had taken place that same day or night. some friends would call me 'the fly on the wall' and they all found it very amusing. Once I even had a dream that told me that I could find a friend that I had lost touch with on the internet. The next day I searched the internet for an hour and then I found my friend on a social networking site. I couldn't believe it and thought where is this infomation coming from??
Now i'm 28 and the last year has been so overwhelming. I have no idea what has triggered this but in the past year I have picked up on floral scents, emotions that are not mine, and silhouttes watching me. I get images and words in my mind that describe to me who the spirits are and what they want to say. I get spirits that just come to chat, ones that tell me things to prepare for, others come to protect me and some come with sadness and worries.
I have sensed spirit a few times when i'm with my friends/family and i've said to them that I think that a spirit is here for you, asking if they'd like to try and communicate. they always say yes so I then go on to describe the images and words in my mind and to my amazement they have all said that they know the spirit.
Over the past few months the spirits come on a daily basis and i'm finding it a draining experience. I've tried grounding, visual protection and prayer, and recently crystal protection. I've even told spirits to leave me alone and that I need time to myself. All the spirits have been friendly until the last few weeks.
A male spirit, around six foot tall, who is well built, i'd say in his late 30's, has been anxiously pacing up and down my room. At first I felt as though I knew him so I told him to calm down, that its all ok and to leave me alone and he did. Now he has come back really angry, I feel like I don't know him and he is unpredictable. I am frightened of him so I tell him to leave my house. He goes away for a while but then I wake up with a heavy feeling on my chest, fighting for breath and fighting with all my strenght to push him off me. Once I woke like this with tears streaming down my face. I can hear him laughing at me so I tell him to F off!! This has happened 4 times now and I really don't know what to do. I don't trust him. He is either doing this because he has a dark sense of humor or he intends to harm me, either way its a horrible experience.
I really hope someone can help me because I don't know anyone who can offer me advice. I'm not sure what i'm supposed to do with this 'gift' and more importantly how to control it and how to protect myself.
