On Friday 26th February 2010, I had to administer First Aid to a cyclist who had fallen of their bike and who suspected they had broken their hip or leg. To cut a long story short the person was made comfortable enough until the Ambulance crew arrived and took the patient off to the local hospital. I have no doubt the cyclist is in good hands and will make a speedy recovery. This story is not about me or the cyclist but a thank you to the support services who are there behind the scenes 24/7 365 days a year just a phone call away.
How many of us in our prayers, meditation, church services, say thank you to the Universe (you may use the term God) for ALL the services behind the scene that are literally just a phone call away. We in Britain at some time or another have had to all call upon the emergency services who have then hopefully responded in a professional manner expected of them. I am also thankful for the benefit system. In a world that is grappling with the downturn of the economy - people have had to turn to benefits to keep them going, I agree things should be far better but this is where we are as a Nation.
Please join me in saying thank you to the Universe for the support out there for us as individuals.
PS The picture is of a person saying thank you in sign language.
