Partial transcript of Jay Sawyer's "Becoming the Anomaly" presentation...
JS: So then… Who am I and what am I doing here? Those really are the biggest questions of all, aren’t they? What are any of us doing here, in this Dark Empire?
“I have seen everything going on under the sun,” it is written, in Ecclesiastes, “and behold! It’s all meaningless, like chasing the wind.”
Certainly there is no obvious meaning – which is what allows us to create our own. Or, more frequently, accept as our own. To do otherwise would mean having to face the truth of the matter. Which is what, exactly? That life is meaningless, without purpose? Or simply that the purpose is obscured, for reasons unknown? So many questions! Is there only individual purpose, or do we all contribute to a collective purpose? Perhaps knowing the answers would defeat the purpose!
In one of the Matrix movies, Agent Smith said the following: “We’re not here because we’re free, we’re here because we’re not free. There’s no escaping reason, no denying purpose – because as we both know, without purpose, we would not exist. It is purpose that created us, purpose that connects us, purpose that pulls us, that guides us, that drives us. It is purpose that defines us. Purpose that binds us.”
What purpose? Certainly it relates to freedom, that much is obvious. But freedom means different things to different people. There’s ‘freedom to’… Freedom to do or have whatever we want – which usually requires money. But why do people want what they want? Are their desires authentic, or a kind of programming… a delusion?
Edward Bernays said: “We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”
Or in the words of Eckhart Tolle: “You may think you know what you want, but you don’t. It is only the conditioning of your mind that says: ‘This is what you need to have’. That’s not a choice, it’s mechanical.”
So maybe what you thought you wanted isn’t really what you want, after all. And even if it is, you have no idea whether it will lead to ‘happiness’; whether your desires serve you or enslave you. In short, whether they are in your best interests, or not.
The other kind of freedom is ‘freedom from’. Freedom from need, freedom from limitation, freedom from desire, freedom from purpose itself. But what could anyone actually do or achieve with that kind of freedom, in the absence of needs and desires? Does it not imply a kind of stagnation, or pointlessness?
Aldous Huxley said: “Your true traveller finds boredom rather agreeable. It is the symbol of his liberty – his excessive freedom. He accepts his boredom, when it comes, not merely philosophically, but almost with pleasure.”
I know that some of us here can relate to that statement. Certainly, were it not the case, Consciousness – which is what we are, after all – would be eternally caught between frustration and suffering, on the one hand, and pointlessness on the other.
I remember an episode of Star Trek, Voyager, in which a member of the Q Continuum – a kind of omnipotent being – wanted to commit suicide. He’d existed for so long that he had seen everything there was to see, done everything there was to do, and experienced everything there was to experience. He had become so utterly bored with his existence that he wanted to end it. The story hinges on whether he should be allowed to do so or not, given the possible consequences for the Continuum itself. And, in the end, he does indeed commit suicide.
It was a simple story that could have been so much more interesting if they had focused on what it was that actually made ‘him’ him. In other words, what was it that divided that particular Q from others in the Continuum? If they had answered that question, the solution would have been simple… Because the fundamental problem was his memory, and memories can be erased (at a conscious level, at least). Had this been done, and it could have been, ‘old Q’ would have become ‘new Q’, and his hunger for life would surely have been restored.
Now, some have suggested that Consciousness does indeed have a similar ‘problem’, hence the need, not only for infinite experience, but for infinite perspectives on infinite experience (i.e. you and me). And there’s that word again… ‘need’. To be in need implies a lack of freedom. And it may also imply fear… at the prospect of not getting what one ‘needs’. None of which sounds very ‘Godly’, of course, and so we may prefer to believe that whatever God does He does out of love. But love for whom? Identity is not a fixed thing – we all change on a daily basis. And when you get to the root of what divides us, really, you’ll see that it’s just a matter of experience and conditioning. Yes, our transient ‘perspective’ may be unique, but it’s not who we are. It’s a bit like examining the atom. It appears to have substance, but when you zoom in close enough, you see that there’s nothing really there at all! Nothing but the universal energy of existence.
So what is the truth of the matter? People talk of knowledge being suppressed, and it certainly has been. They speak of diabolical plots against us by the so-called Elite, and there certainly are. This is the kind of truth that most people can handle. Go a little farther down the rabbit hole, however, and even the bravest among us will start to proclaim that ignorance is bliss.
Humans have never wanted the truth, not really. And they’ll reject, persecute and ultimately kill anyone who dares to even hint at it. And let’s be clear about this: Hinting at it is all people have ever done.
“You are gods,” said Jesus “everything is possible for he who believes.” Everything? That’s a pretty bold statement to make. But for those who are in any doubt, he slams the point home during a performance of miracles, assuring the amazed onlookers that they can do the same as he, and more, if only they have faith.
I’m not going to get into a debate about whether Jesus existed or not. But if you’re already a Christian, you may want to focus on these things, rather than the deceit and lies spewing from the Church.
So are we any closer to understanding why we’re here? It’s been said that we each have our own unique reasons, even though we may not be consciously aware of them. And in many ways that’s true. However, once we understand the mechanism through which our ‘personalities’ emerge; the process, if you will, that generates the illusion of ‘other people’… Then a deeper and more profound truth suddenly becomes apparent; one which applies to all of us, and none of us. A truth so terrifying, and beautiful, that even those who look upon it are unable to see. And those who see are unable to accept. Yes, the truth will set us free. But first we have to want that freedom, crave it, put it first and foremost in our lives. For until we do, we shall remain blinded by a conspiracy of monumental proportions; a conspiracy that can only begin to make sense when we understand who instigated it, and why.
At the risk of being labelled a Trekkie, there’s an episode of Star Trek, The Next Generation, in which Picard and the crew begin to suspect that Data is lying to them. As the truth finally becomes apparent, Picard demands to know who it was that ordered Data to lie. And the android replies, somewhat chillingly, “you did.” The crew then have to conspire once more to bury the truth, only this time ensuring that no clues are left behind for them to follow.
Of course, any similarity to actual persons or events is entirely coincidental!

Now, on the subject of lies… Many of us here will know that the powers that be, or ‘Illuminati’, practise a form of Satanism. But who or what is Satan, exactly? Well, according to the Bible, he is simply “the Father of the lie.”
What lie? The lie upon which all other lies are based; the lie that every human being has conspired to perpetuate since the beginning of time because they cannot face the reality of the truth; a lie so powerful, so devastating in its implications, that even now you sit and tremble at the prospect of my speaking of it aloud…
Okay, I think we should pause for a break at this point.
