2012. It’s getting closer all the time. Are you scared? Or excited? Do you think something huge and scary is going to happen on Dec 21 next year, or do you sense that a positive energy shift has already been under way for some time, and is gathering pace?
Early last year I was fortunate enough to be involved in several sessions in which my friend and fellow regression therapist Janet Treloar channelled material from a diverse group of spirit entities who referred to themselves as ‘the council’. A number of us had been striving for a way to understand the current energy shift that balanced being positive with remaining grounded, and nothing we’d come across before had really fitted that bill – until the council came through to us.
On the positive side they talked about the nature of the new earth experience that has been emerging for some time already, and that will be properly in place after a period of transition. The generally higher vibrations will bring many wonderful changes, including a return of energetic capabilities that haven’t been in widespread use on earth for tens of thousands of years. Indeed many of you have probably noticed changes already, in yourselves and in others, perhaps also in the children around you.
On the more grounded side the council reported that this year will see the start of a series of major upheavals spread over a number of years – and we can hardly escape the fact that natural catastrophes are increasingly devastating various parts of our planet. For obvious reasons I avoided the temptation to ask exactly where and when they would take place. And in any case the overriding impression was that, while there is a general overall direction, in the detail everything remains fluid, and depends on our attitudes and reactions at every moment, both individually and collectively. That is why what you do, and even more your thoughts and intentions, really do matter.
But is there a positive side even to these upheavals? The answer is that, if we can learn to adopt a soul rather than human perspective, we can come to understand that all the souls on earth at present have incarnated knowing their purpose. For some that may mean an ‘early exit’, but even then they are using that as an energetic springboard to supreme new experiences in other planes. And we should always strive to remember that from a soul perspective there is no real suffering, only experience.
The council’s messages are all contained in the short and simple Future of the Soul, and there are many other aspects to them. For example, the idea that the current shift marks the culmination of a 26,000 year energy cycle isn’t new. But, when I investigated what happened at the high point in previous cycles, fascinating new insights into the so-called Golden Age, the fall, the flood, and even Atlantis and its downfall, started to emerge. Coupled with descriptions of the underlying spiritual dynamics involving deliberate, collective experiments with amnesia and life plans, this is immensely valuable material that provides a deeper context not found elsewhere.
Since then I‘ve been engaged in further research into archaeological and geological evidence that might support the council’s version of human history, and I wasn’t disappointed. But I also discovered that a great many misconceptions about 2012 have unfortunately been impressed on our collective consciousness in recent years. For example, when you go back to the proper source material, the various Amerindian and Hindu world cycle traditions aren’t consistent and don’t feature the 26,000 cycle – unless you’re impressed by groundless mathematical contortionism. What’s more the end of the current 13-baktun cycle of the Mayan calendar is most likely an arbitrary date that has no more significance than the end of a century or millennium in our decimal system. The History of the Soul¸ a more in-depth study published late last year, contains all this and more.
To sum up, it seems likely that our relatively recent focus on 21 Dec 2012 is just one of those wonderful ways the universe has of prompting us to concentrate on the magnificent changes we’re all engaged in producing, even though the date itself may be relatively meaningless. It’s also clear that the energetic shifts brought about at the high points of the 26,000 year cycle are not all about one day in one year, but instead represent an ongoing and dynamic process. Yet that is not in any way to belittle what is going on. The council tell us that the focus of the entire universe is currently trained on our tiny little planet, to see what will happen this time round.
So perhaps we would do well to stop being so fascinated by dates and alignments and all the more prosaic things with which our human minds love to preoccupy themselves. Instead we might simply focus our energies and intentions, both individually and collectively, on creating the new, more loving, more vibrant world we all desire. And the best way to do that is actually to forget the future. Instead, in every moment we should strive to keep coming from the heart not the head, keep choosing love over fear, and keep flowing with change rather than resisting it.
For those of you who prefer discussion to reading, I’m running a series of one-day workshops every month at Gaunts House, near Wimborne in Dorset, and at The College of Psychic Studies in London, that cover these issues and more. I really look forward to seeing some of you at these events, and to discussing these crucial issues at such a crucial time. I’ve put a huge amount of research into a broad range of topics for more than a decade now, and I really want to share that with you, while at the same time listening to and learning from your own ideas and experiences. But please remember that numbers are limited to 25 per workshop to allow for interactivity, and only advance bookings can be taken by the organisers. Wishing you peace and light…
