The Faerie Whisperer
Many times I have been asked the same question by many people, “How can I develop my gift?” I have given them all the same advice that I will be giving to you, the readers, the seekers, right now, in this article. So sit back, place your feet firmly on the ground, relax your neck, head, shoulders, back and legs and let me take you on a journey of spiritual enlightenment. Oh yes, one last thing before I begin, ......SMILE.... that’s better, no one would want to see their loved one with a grumpy face would they? .... Let’s begin.
When communication with the spirit world is made it is done so through a tool, that tool being a medium. Many people refer to the medium as being an instrument for spirit. This is also true, but for the sake of this article I will refer to mediums as tools. So how does this ‘tool’ work? Well unlike when you purchase a new D.I.Y tool and can easily refer to the instructions on how to use this tool, there are none in the case of a medium. The medium and her/his spirit guide have to co-operate with each other in order to accomplish communication between the two worlds.
A medium must learn how to quieten the mind in order to hear, see, or sense the spirit realms. Living in this material world, we tend to clog up our senses with what's going on around us, and that is perfectly natural, but what we need to do is make this our time, our time to connect with those who are in the realms of spirit and wish to communicate with us. Let’s escape to our little sanctuary, where no one can disturb us, only beings from other realms can contact us, because we want them to, don’t we so very much?
I want you to imagine you’re sitting in the garden, on a nice hot summer’s day, their are no neighbours around, no cars, nothing, only the sound of the birds singing in the trees. The sun is shining down upon you, it’s not to hot, just the right temperature for you. You close your eyes and listen to the silence, there’s a gentle breeze in the air. You begin to smile to yourself, feeling so happy and content with the peacefulness that you are surrounded by. You feel that your feet are tingling, and there is a feeling that they just want to melt into the earth ... let them, imagine tiny yet strong roots growing out of the soles of your feet reaching deeper into the earth beneath you, you feel at ease with this sensation as you are fully aware that you are not restricted by it, it is merely a protective process, in order for you to stay completely grounded whilst meeting those in the world of spirit. You are now grounded, you begin to feel a pulsating feeling at the soles of your feet, as if something is pouring into your body, you instinctively know that this is energy being given to you from mother earth, as she knows you need this energy in order for you to fulfill your desire to commune with the spirit realm. You also know that this energy has a specific colour to it, and you sense that it is red and is rising in your body until it gets to the base of your back. It begins to spin like a cartwheel slowly at first, still remaining at the base of your back, as it starts spinning faster, you realize that the coloring is gradually getting purer and brighter, until is it what can only be described as a transparent watery red.
You feel the energy rising again inside you, this time it stops just below your naval, and the energy has changed colour, its now orange, a warm and inviting orange, it begins spinning slowly, gradually speeding up, and spinning faster, the coloring gets purer and brighter, and it feels like you can breathe through your naval.
The energy is on the move again because mother earth knows there is much to be done, and this next energy centre needs some energy pouring into it. This time the colour is Yellow, the colour of upliftment, energy and vitality. It begins its spin, beginning slowly, speeding up gradually, as its spinning you breathe in the energy colour, feeling revitalized in doing so.
The energy is moving again, this time it stops in the middle of your chest at your heart chakra. Mother earth is looking forward to energizing this energy centre as she knows that this area needs some extra special Tender Loving Care, sometimes it doesn’t matter how much love we receive of other people, we just need that little bit extra top up so to speak. You feel the loving gentleness of the green, spinning inside you, it begins as a murky green gradually blossoming into a vibrant energetic grassy green. Your chest area feels completely open.
Next you feel as though a delicate silk scarf has been wrapped around your neck loosely, it begins to feel as though its behaving like a snake, your intuition tells you that it is only the energy from mother earth enveloping your throat in royal blue energy, as it swirls you notice that your throat feels so much more open and you almost think that you could be heard by a thousand people even without your mouth opening. The coloring begins to brighten and shine like stars do in the midnight sky, it begins to look more and more like water in the Mediterranean sea.
You begin to feel a strong pressure feeling in between your eyes, and you just know that it is a violet colored energy spinning to awaken your psychic eye, your clairvoyant vision. You enjoy the feeling of energy swirling around your body, and feel completely at ease with it. The colour gets brighter, purer, and more vibrant. Just before the energy moves on you realize through sensing that it is time for your crown energy centre to open and be energized, just as each other energy centre has done so.
Brilliant white etheric light shines at the crown of your head, it begins milky, and gradually it begins to purify itself more so as the spinning gets faster, until it seems to explode out of the top of your head and fall gently beside you, around you, like sparks, just as rain falls. Once these sparks touch the ground you see a cloak around you of white light, followed by violet, then blue, green, yellow, orange and red. You feel safe vibrant, and aware of what’s around you, of your own mind, your body, both physical and spiritual.

You are now grounded, relaxed, and open to the world of spirit. Don’t panic, you’re not going to immediately begin seeing spirit people popping up in front of you. Before they can do this, they need to be invited. After all you wouldn’t visit people if you weren’t invited. Sometimes many people don’t need to do any further meditations at this point, as

the opening of the chakras, seems to be both a relaxation and meditation exercise. I, myself have met one of my Spirit Helpers through this technique. So you may be sitting there now, and feel a strong presence within the room. Please don’t be afraid as they will not hurt you. They just wish to talk to you, just like a friend would talk to you on the earth plane. Just relax within this feeling, and allow them to remain there with you, give both of yourselves chance to get to know how you feel to each other. Remember this is just as important to those within the spiritual realms as it is to you within the earthly realm. Now if you are sitting here now perfectly relaxed but do not sense a presence, have not seen anything clairvoyantly, then you too should not worry. It is more than likely that your friends in the spirit world are just making sure you feel comfortable in this environment. Your spirit guide is definitely there with you, just waiting for you to ask him to draw near to you, giving him permission to communicate with you. But if you say that you want them to draw near you but you have fear within your heart, then there is a possibility that they will not reveal themselves to you as there is an amount of uncertainty as to whether you want them to. It took some time for my guides to reveal themselves to me because at the time I thought I was ready, when infact those in the spirit knew better. So if you don’t see them this time, keep trying and I promise you, you will see them.
Firstly you must make sure that your mind remains clear, don’t try to build up a picture of what you want to see, rather just wait for the picture to reveal itself to you. Say clearly in your mind that you wish to see either your spirit guide, guardian angel, or a loved one from spirit. You can do this by simply affirming the following:
“Divine Spirit, I attune myself to the higher realms of spirit, I place my trust within your hands, I ask that you protect me from all negative energies and spirits that wish to cause me harm or distress. I ask that you only allow energies of the highest good through to me. I wish to see my Guardian Angel/Spirit Guide/Loved One. I promise to remain open minded and assertive to all the Divine Guidance which I will receive from this meditative state that I am in now. If it is the correct time for me to witness that which I have stated please bring them forth to me,
Thank You”
Then you must remain calm and relaxed and just wait for any spiritual occurrences to happen. Also if after a certain amount of time you feel you need to affirm again, just keep saying in your mind the following:
“If there is anyone there from the realms of spirit please come forward and make yourself known to me in a gentle peaceful manor. I am not here to hurt you; I just want to talk to you, if you can’t show yourself to me, then give me a colour, a shape, a symbol, picture or word. Anything will be fantastic.”
By affirming this and communicating with the spiritual realms you are letting them know that you are serious and committed to this. It is important for you to feel comfortable with this and if you can add anything to either the above communication method with the spiritual realm or the earlier prayer of intent then please do so. This is just a guide, it is you that makes this communication unique and how it should be for you. You may wish to just state that you come with love and harmony within your heart and wish to speak to your Grandma. This too will work as your loved ones are never far from you. They will draw near to you on the love link that is eternally binded between you and them.
I have listed below some of the things you may experience that are clear signs from the spirit world to show that they are around you. Please bear in mind that you may not have immediate signs, it may come in later days to come.
• You may smell the scent of your loved ones favourite perfume or aftershave.
• The smell of tobacco smoke may drift past you if a loved one smoked in their earthly incarnation.
• You may hear them whisper your name and think that perhaps someone has called you only to find that there is no one there.
• A feeling as though you have walked into a cobweb may hit your face, when infact a loved one may have just kissed or stroked your face.
• You may feel a sudden coldness around you or perhaps a warmth, either one is a good sign that a loved one, angel or spirit guide is with you.
• A feather floating or appearing where you can find it and there being no possibility of it getting there is a sure sign that the angels are with you.
• A song that reminds you of a loved one comes onto the radio, or perhaps you feel like you should put the radio on but don’t quite know why then the song comes on, shows that those in the spirit world are guiding us
• After doing a meditation like the one earlier can also influence our dreams and we may receive our communication through our dreams, causing us to either meet our angel, spirit guide, or even have a dream about a loved one.
Those are just a few of the many ways that they show us they are around. I also believe that the meditation that I gave you can be used with children, perhaps you could tape the meditation and listen to it with your children, and it is in no way dangerous for them as it is just a visualization tool to help you become more aware of the realms that co-exist with ours. In fact I believe that you would be amazed at the results you get from it. Your children will be much happier, and friendlier towards the earth, and everyone that lives within it. Sometimes it takes the experiences of our children to awaken our own self recognition that other realms do co exist with ours, and that we can communicate with them.
I hope that these tips will help bring you and your loved ones closer together and know that they are not dead, they are very much alive, they just don’t have their physical body holding them down and causing them distress. I’ll leave you with those things to ponder and one last thing you can do for me but mainly for the spiritual realms, open your heart to them and SMILE ……
