Hello. My name is Jenni and since I was young I have been able to feel and see things that I didn't understand. It started when I was ten, and had a ghostly best friend named Sally. She told me she died in a fire, even though my father never found evidence of any such events in our home. I played with her often and talked to her more.
At my tenth birthday party I told a group of my friends about her and, angry they didn't believe me, asked her to come out. I am unaware of what happened for the next twenty minutes or so, but one such friend I am still in contact with today swears that someone else was speaking out of my mouth.
Whether intentionally or not, I shut such things out until I reached my sixteenth year. At this point my faith in Christianity had reached breaking point, and I realised it was not the religion for me. I talked to my Dad about things I was feeling and thinking, and he took me up to a local burial ground called the Coldrum Stones. I felt at peace there, but was confused as to what was happening to me. My father informed me that Sally, whatever she had been, was not a little girl's ghost as I had thought. He revelled that he had sensed her multiple times and she had, in fact, moved things on occasion. He felt she was more of a sprite or spirit that just enjoyed having a child-friend.
I told him that I had, over the past few years, been experimenting with Readings. It had started as a harmless game, actually using Magic the Gathering Trading Card Game cards to give readings. But they almost always came true. Then, when I was fourteen or so, a friend handed me a set of Faerie Oracle Cards. Almost every reading I have performed since I was given these cards has been accurate. My father told me I have a gift.
On a trip to Scotland in my eighteenth year, I made the decision that Solitary Wiccanism was a faith that spoke to me, and I began to follow that path. Since them my skill in reading has only increased, and other abilities, such as communication with tree spirits, communication with those who have passed on and seeing signs all around me have also grown.
Over the past six months, however, these abilities seem to be growing on a level that almost frightens me, and although my father swears I am protected (though he won't say by what) and I believe I have found a spirit guide, part of me wonders if it is all in my head, and if I am making things up to feel special.
My father is currently intending to leave our family and move to Denmark, and without him here I will have no guidance or grounding to help me. I am begging for help from someone more experienced with spirits so I can learn whether my gifts really are real, and if they are, how I can hone them. I am not keen on Spiritualist Churches, as my faith in the Christian God and Jesus are somewhat shaken.
I would love to be able to help people with these gifts, if they do exist, and I'm looking for a teacher. If anyone knows someone who may be able to help, please please PLEASE get in contact.
